Richard Ross (Rick) recently joined the ESC at Lehigh as a Senior Fellow/Management Consultant. Rick has over 40 years of management experience across a broad range of industries holding a number of diverse positions. As a senior level financial executive with a proven track record in consulting, transportation/logistics, manufacturing and construction, Rick has successfully demonstrated capabilities in facilitating change, restructuring organizations and crafting business strategy in the pursuit and achievement of growth and profitability. Upon graduation from Lehigh in 1974 with a BS in Economics, Rick went to work for Roadway Express and became the youngest employee in the company to become a Terminal Manager. He returned to Lehigh in 1979, received his MBA in 1980 and was hired by KPMG. While there, Rick earned his CPA and became the National Director of the KPMG Transportation/Logistics Consulting Practice.
Prior to joining the ESC, Rick served as the CFO for the North American operations at Reinforced Earth Company (RECO), with a portfolio of seven construction companies, combined revenues of $300M and 350 employees. The parent company of RECO, Vinci, is publicly traded and headquartered in France. Primary professional services provided included Finance and Accounting, Materials Supply, Administration, Risk Management and Contract Negotiations.
